Did you know that October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month? Cyber security begins with a simple message that everyone using the Internet should consider:

STOP. THINK. CONNECT.

Trust OnlineThis annual awareness event was created as a collaborative effort between the United States government and the business community to ensure that every American has the information and resources to stay safe and secure on-line. Since its inception a decade ago under the leadership of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the National Cyber Security Alliance, this annual awareness event has grown exponentially, reaching consumers, small and medium-size businesses, corporations, educational institutions, and young people across the nation.

In 2013, on-line scams increased by 355% with illegal activity spreading through financial transactions, healthcare records, transportation systems and social media sites.  Some scams even involved a combination of phone calls and remote computer access.

During National Cyber Security Awareness Month, we have been sharing cyber security tips via Facebook and Twitter. About Kim Weinberger

Kim Weinberger is the National Director of Business Development - Computer Services for Computer Troubleshooters Global. Kim has a long-standing relationship with Computer Troubleshooters that began when she and her husband bought a technology franchise in Fond du Lac, WI, in 2003. In addition to her role as a franchise owner and operator, Kim also served as a Regional Director for four years and then as an Assistant National Director for five years. In 2012, Kim became the Director of Operations for the Computer Troubleshooters Global franchise and the Geeks On Call franchise, which has since merged with Computer Troubleshooters. In 2016, Kim's role shifted to managing the growth and development of computer services for Computer Troubleshooters Global, as well as the CPR Cell Phone Repair franchise.
